4 Things You Can Do to Naturally Treat Type 2 Diabetes


If you've got a high fasting blood sugar level, let me share you some suggestions I tell my clients when diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Give yourself 7- 8 weeks before you re-assess your condition. You'll not only feel better but you'll also speed your metabolism.

- Hit It. Do High Intensity Interval Training or "HIIT" You can do this with your favorite cardio activities whether it's running, biking, swimming or whatever you decide to do. This is an amazing routine and it' simple. Go fast or hard with, let's say, running, for 30 seconds, then go at a normal speed for 120 seconds. Repeat it over and over until you finish your session. I would start of first and work up to 20 minutes but eventually work up to 45 minutes a day. Listen to some great music to help with your effort. This will rev your metabolism up greatly. It does wonders for your heart. Try it.

- Get Strength. Do some strength training to build lean muscle. The more lean muscle your body has, the better for metabolism and the better for burning sugar.

- Balance Intake. Make sure you have protein with every meal to help stabilize the carbohydrates. Try and eat your simple carbs earlier in the day, like lunchtime. In the evening time, have your complex carbs. Have protein and a starchy carbs (fruits are best) with every meal.

- Multiple Meals. Get used to eating several times a day. Think 5 to 7 mini meals. Not only will this speed up your metabolism but it will help stabilize your blood sugar. Once you stay on this type of structure consistently, you'll have less headaches and less dizziness.
